General Tips for Playing Blackjack
There is some strategy and thought involved in your success, and this allows people to feel some sense of control over their play. With this idea in mind, it’s very important to know the game well and to have some tips at your fingertips before jumping into playing. Here, we provide some important ideas for you to get started.

1. Take advantage of their bonuses, which are good for all the online Blackjack games they offer.
2. Next, take a look at the many Blackjack strategy tables offered. Stick to the odds as much as possible. If you are playing Blackjack in an online casino, keep a blackjack basic strategy table next to your computer.
3. An educated Blackjack player certainly has a better chance of winning than one who is playing blindly. But Blackjack is still a game with a lot of chance. You must remember this so that you don’t get frustrated or swear off the tables and declare that they do not work.
4. Since Blackjack is such a popular game with a rich history, it has developed into many different versions of the game. Before you start to play, pay attention to the rules of each game. The payouts for these different games are basically the same odds, but the rules might be different.
5. Never assume that the dealer has a ten. This assumption often causes you to make silly moves and Stand before it is necessary. This is a very important and easy tip to follow.
Managing Your Money
6. Start off playing with small bets. Don’t jump into a very high betting game. If you blow all of your money early on – you won’t be able to continue to play.
7. Finally set yourself a betting limit. Before starting to play, decide how much money you are willing to bet, how much you are willing to lose, and how much you are willing to win. If you lose your limit, stop playing. If you start to win, put the winnings aside and play from your initial money. If you reach your winning limit, walk away and feel successful.

Don’t push your luck in one sitting.

Enjoy Playing Blackjack
Blackjack requires a sensible head, common sense and some luck. With the above tips in mind, you can become a successful Blackjack player and enjoy the game. Remember that nothing is a guarantee; it is the luck of the draw and sensible betting actions that will help you to win. Blackjack is a game of both skill and luck that can be fun and rewarding if played correctly. Enjoy!

Blackjack Strategy Part Two

October 28th, 2010 admin No comments

This strategy guide is provided for information only and is intended to be used with standard single player, 3-player and 5-player Blackjack games.
Because of the random way in which cards are dealt in Blackjack, sustained winning and losing streaks are possible and using this strategy is no guarantee of any specific outcome.
Playing Optimal Strategy Blackjack is no guarantee of success but does offer the best odds over a sustained period of time.

The random nature in which cards are dealt in Blackjack means that there can never be a system that guarantees a successful outcome of any hand for a player. However, there are ways in which you can maximise your chances of taking advantage of the best odds available to the player in any given situation.

Depending upon which cards you hold and the value of the dealer’s face-up card there are courses of action you can take which are considered to be statistically the most advantageous way to play.

A “hard number” is one which is made up of two cards not containing an Ace. A “soft number” is one which contains an Ace and has two potential values. For example, if you have A-5 then you have either 6 or 16, giving you more options than if you have 10-6 to make 16.

This strategy recommends that you should not split 10s, that you should look to double down when you have eleven, against anything other than a dealer’s Ace, and that you stand with 12 against a dealer’s 6.

This may not be the way that you usually play but it has been mathematically determined to be the best way of increasing the odds in your favour.

Feel free to use our special strategy guide to see how the experts think you should play the game and see how it fits in with your own tactics and approach. Remember though that no strategy guide can account for betting patterns and size of bets, so it’s up to the player to determine those for themselves. Even then though there are some basics which you should always look to adhere to;

* Always split Aces, except when the dealer is showing an Ace
* Do not split a pair of 5s
* Stand on a hard 13 through to 16 if the dealer is showing a 6 or lower
* If the dealer is showing a 4,5 or 6 you should stick on 12
* You should always continue to hit until you have 17 or better if the dealer is showing a ten
* Always stand once you have a hard 17 or higher. The odds of you not busting are far too low for it to be worth the risk
* Always stand when you have A-8 or A-9

Every casino player knows that instinct plays a big part in playing and so, ultimately, guide or no guide, you’re going to have to make the big decisions yourself!

Blackjack Strategy

October 28th, 2010 admin No comments

Blackjack is not merely a game of chance, like many other casino games. This allows the player to feel that he can influence the game in his favor. It also creates more challenges and creates a thoughtful game to play. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the strategies available in Blackjack.

Playing Your Blackjack Hand: To Stand or to Hit
Most blackjack tips evolve around the decision to stand or hit. Standing means that you do not want any more cards, and you think that your chance of being closest to 21 is high. Hit means that you want another card turned over, so that you can increase your chances of reaching 21. The danger of hitting, of course, is that you might bust, or go over 21.

One of the most comprehensive and detailed strategies is to look at Blackjack strategy tables. These are tables that people have painstakingly put together that help you decide whether to turn over cards or hold, depending on what you have in your hand and what the dealer has. They detail every possible card combination that the player or dealer could possibly get. Note that Blackjack can be played with anything from one to eight decks of cards. The strategy tables will often stipulate the number of decks that are in play for their calculations. Obviously, keep in mind that the tables do not guarantee 100% success. They are built on probability, and probability is built on chance. So, they are better than playing blindly, but are not to be taken as a guarantee.

Card Counting in Blackjack
Blackjack card counting is another strategy to succeed at Blackjack. This means that you chart all of the cards that are turned in any game and take these into account with the number of decks that are in play. This is a long and tedious strategy, but one that people can have great success employing if they are diligent. The MIT Blackjack Team and other Blackjack Legends have made card-counting famous. Basically, you are working out in your head which cards have been used and the probability of other cards turning up. If low cards turned up the most in the past few games, then the assumption is that it’s more likely that high cards will now follow, and vice versa. Card counting can be a great winning blackjack strategy in a land-based casino. However, it will not work in an online casino, because the cards are shuffled after each hand in blackjack online.

Blackjack Betting Strategy
The third strategy to offer is betting. There is the idea of sensible betting. This means that you need to decide how much money you are willing to lose before you stop, and how much you want to win before you stop. You have to be quite disciplined to use just your bankroll and not to go over this amount. If you win, you should set aside your winnings and not reinvest this money. This allows you to stick to your target betting limit and to have something left in your pocket, should you start to lose. But there are also advanced Blackjack Betting Systems, like Parlay, Paroli and Oscar’s Grind.

With these ideas in mind, it’s time to play! Remember that you can always try a free game or two at the online casinos before investing your own money. Do some research before you jump in. Take a look at the strategy tables and be aware of how many decks of cards are in play. Set yourself a bankroll limit and practice card counting. With all of these ideas in mind, you should be able to have an enjoyable and successful game of Blackjack. Think 21 and enjoy!
